                        LEONARDO DA VINCI(1452-1519)

• Leonardo da Vinci or simply Leonardo, was an Italian polymath of the Renaissance, whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture etc
• Leonardo da Vinci designed ornithopter wings to flap simultaneously downward and backward for lift and propulsion
• the idea of ornithopter was from the flight of birds with flapping wings.

• The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur were two American aviators, engineers, inventors, and aviation pioneers
• who are generally credited with inventing, building, and flying the world's first successful airplane.

• wright flyer is the name of  the airplane of wright of wright brothers that made history

• first person to understand the underlying principles and forces of flight
• sir george cayley was an English engineer, inventor, and aviator.
• sir geroge cayley is known as true inventor of airplane
• he is the first person to include the concept of fixed wing for generating lift and separated mechanism for propulsion and horizontal and vertical tail for stability
• sir george cayley built the flew the world's first human carrying glider which is known as boy carrier
